From nervous first steps to newfound friendships, the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) First-Year Campus Reception (FYCR) marked an unforgettable start to an exciting new chapter. New students from all over South Africa and beyond arrived with a mix of emotions – excitement, anticipation, and nerves. With the support of UCT’s friendly staff and orientation leaders, they have had an opportunity to be equipped with information and resources to help them kick-start their academic year with confidence.
Guided by UCT’s welcoming staff and orientation leaders, students quickly found their footing, gaining the tools and insights needed to navigate the academic year ahead. Beyond the schedules and student cards, students at the FYCR were eager to embrace the diversity, challenges and opportunities that await them at Africa's leading university.
