THE STUDENT AIDS and Reproductive Programme (SHARP) recently hosted a lunchtime concert on University plaza featuring the popular Cape Town musical outfit, Freshly Ground.
Besides being treated to original South African music, the lunchtime crowd also had the opportunity to listen to the ubiquitous Zackie Achmat, head of the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC). In his address, Achmat exhorted students to take part in the fight against the “holocaust†of indifference that was being perpetrated by governments and drug companies towards South African HIV/AIDS sufferers.
