Over 300 students and staff from the Health Sciences Faculty got together for the faculty's 2005 awards ceremony. In the general faculty and MBChB category, Dr Bronwyn Ross received the Dr Kathy Chubb memorial prize for the final-year student who has shown excellent overall performance in the field of paediatrics and surgery, and recognised dedication to the practice of medicine. Ross, who is now working as an intern at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, said she was honoured to come back to UCT to receive her award. "Every minute of my studies was worth it. It was a great experience," she said.
