Ralph Hamann of the Environmental Evaluation Unit at UCT has spearheaded the launch of The Business of Sustainable Development in Africa: Human rights, partnerships, alternative business models, a book that seeks to enhance the contribution of business to sustainable development in sub-Sahara Africa.
The book argues that the business community has an important role to play by better understanding the roles of sustainable development and its implications when making decisions.
UCT's Prof Martin Hall, Jon Hanks and Fleur Boulogne also made contributions to the book.
