The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Vice-Chancellor interim, Emeritus Professor Daya Reddy encourages alumni to register and attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Convocation, which will be convened on a virtual platform on Thursday, 7 December 2023 at 17:00.
At the AGM, alumni can express their opinions, engage in constructive discussion and vote on the next President of Convocation and Executive Committee.
The extended deadline for the AGM of Convocation registration, as well as nominations for the President of Convocation and the Executive Committee, and of notices of motion is Friday, 24 November 2023. Please send nominations and notices of motion to registrar@uct.ac.za.
The Convocation consists of UCT graduates and all holders of diplomas and credit-bearing certificates of the university; the vice-chancellor, the deputy vice-chancellors and the academic staff; and former professors and associate professors elected by the Senate to be emeritus professors or emeritus associate professors.
