Chanelle Govindsamy (right) is not likely to forget her first year at UCT. The social sciences student got the thrill of her young life recently when her name was drawn as the winner of a R30 000 Contiki ski holiday for two people to Austria, sponsored by Brainbooks UCT (the UCT bookstore). "This is going to be an absolutely spectacular experience," bubbled Govindsamy, who says she has never been out of South Africa. She now has until December to decide who's going to join her on her one-week sojourn in Europe - a boy called George was among the initial contenders, but mom is likely to get the nod, she noted. "This is about putting something back into the university community," said Ben Lindeque, managing director of Brainbooks (left in picture).
Govindsamy, a big fan of Brainbooks even before she landed the ski holiday - "they offer the best service" - is pleased they did.
