As exam season approaches and academic pressures mount, the University of Cape Town (UCT) is marking World Mental Health Day on 10 October by spotlighting the essential mental health services available to students. With counselling, peer support, medical consultations, and disability services – UCT provides a wide array of resources to help support students maintain their well-being.
The Student Wellness Service provides students with access to registered counsellors, psychologists, and social workers, along with pharmacy services and medical consultations.
UCT’s 24-hour helpline (021 650 1020) and counselling services’ online booking system ensure students have easy access to support when they need it most.
