UCT Day 2024 brought together students, alumni, staff, and families at the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Cricket Oval on 25 October.
This year’s event celebrated community spirit and the pursuit of educational excellence, with a focus on raising funds for two vital student initiatives: the Unlocking Futures Bursary Fund and the UCT Food Sovereignty Programme.
The day offered something for everyone, from the film festival at the Kramer Law Building to thrilling activities like the UCT Amazing Race, five-a-side bubble soccer, archery, and rowing with tons of fun activities for the kids.
Hosted in UCT’s birthday month, this special event exemplifies the university’s ethos of inclusivity and collective responsibility. Alumni, students, and families united not only to enjoy a memorable day but to foster a strong sense of belonging and to rally for student support.
