In just over a year, the University of Cape Town (UCT) Cheerleading Club has emerged as a formidable force in South African cheerleading. Crowned "cheerleaders that rock" during the Varsity Cup rugby tournament, the team has since competed nationally, earning accolades for their performances at major events.
The UCT Cheerleading Club’s success is made even more remarkable by the fact that they’ve done it all without a coach.
With performances that inspire and elevate UCT’s sporting events, the club continues to showcase the growing stature of cheerleading in South Africa, as they push the boundaries of teamwork, trust, and athleticism.
